KNM Harald Hårfagre, appears on first inspection to be a very small village that has all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. The site includes a brand new cafeteria, a cinema, a chapel, dormitories with shared facilities, vast areas of green outdoor space and various sports facilities both inside and outside.
The camp is often open to the public on special occasions, like Norway's National Day on the 17th of May. Thousands of people from the surrounding areas take part in the celebrations.
Buses will run between the camp to the University of Stavanger every morning after breakfast and in the afternoon. Dinner will be served at the camp in the late afternoons.
As a main rule accomodation is provided from Sunday 15 June until Saturday 21 June. All meals from Sunday evening (dinner) until Saturday breakfast are included in the conference fee. Delegates who arrive before 15 June or leave later than 21 June must inform the organisers and will be charged for the extra meals. Some rooms will be available at the Madla Army Camp - more detailed information will be sent to all delegates in a separate letter.
