The Executive Committee
(29.08.2007) The Executive Committee is the decision making body in the planning of the Tunza 2008 conference. Based on the Memorandum of Understanding between UNEP and Young Agenda 21, the committee is equally represented by both parties and makes final decisions on the programme and budget of the conference.
Six persons constitute the Executive Committee:

Appointed by UNEP:
- Eric Falt, Director of the Division of Communications & Public Information (DCPI)
- Theodore Oben, Head, Children and Youth Unit, Division of Communications and Public Information
- Wondy Asnake, Editor of the Tunza Magazine, UNEP Regional office for Europe

Appointed by Young Agenda 21:
- Idunn Eidheim, Deputy Director General, Norwegian Ministry of the Environment
- Leif Johan Sevland, Mayor of Stavanger
- Anne-Kari Aas Eielsen, Chair of the Board, Young Agenda 21.
Manager of Young Agenda 21, Gabriele Brennhaugen, is the secretary of the committee.

The committee had its first meeting in May 2006 and the second in March 2007. It will meet 2-3 times during the planning stages of the conference. The final programme proposal will be presented to the committee by UNEP, following contributions from the Norway Organising Committee and the Junior Board.
