Sunday 15 June/Monday 16 June before noon:

  • Arrival of delegates; bus transportation from airport to Madla Army Camp
  • Registration at Madla Army Camp; guided tours at the camp
  • No common programme before Monday afternoon

Monday 16 June:

  • Breakfast and lunch at Madla Army Camp
  • From 13.30: Buses to University of Stavanger
  • From 14.00: Guided tours at the University of Stavanger (UiS)
  • From 14.00: Registration at University of Stavanger for local delegates and late arrivals
  • 16.30-17.30: Information meeting for delegates and chaperones (UiS)
  • 18.00-21.00: Barbeque/get-together at the Iron Age Farm
  • Busses back to Madla Army Camp and local schools

Tuesday 17 June - "Energy" day

  • Morning: Breakfast at Madla Army Camp; bus transportation to the Rogaland Arboretum
  • 10.00-11.00: Opening Ceremony at Rogaland Arboretum (outdoor event)
  • 12.00-13.00: Lunch at UiS; those who go on fieldtrips take lunchbags in the busses
  • Workshops at UiS, fieldtrips in the Stavanger region
  • 15.30-16.45: Information about the Tunza programme; regional meetings with UNEP

  • From 17.00: Bus transportation to Madla Army Camp; dinner
  • 18.30-21.30: Boat trip to the Lyse Fjord (optional); sports activities at Madla Army Camp (19.00-21.00)

Wednesday 18 June - "Water" day

  • Morning: Breakfast at Madla Army Camp; bus transportation to UiS
  • 09.00-12.00: Morning plenary session:
    • Keynote speakers: Christine Batruch, Lundin Petroleum and Wyland, Environmental Artist
    • Children's project presentations
    • Today's leaders meet tomorrow's leaders - dialogue between delegates and leaders from business and public institutions
  • 12.00-13.00: Lunch at UiS; those who go on fieldtrips take lunchbags in the busses
  • Workshops at UiS, fieldtrips in the Stavanger region
  • 15.30-16.45: Action Groups
  • 17.00-18.00: Tree planting ceremony at UiS

Action groups

Action groups are groups that meet during 3 days and discuss the theme of the day, how they can put it into action in their home places, and work out personal commitments for the delegates.

Workshops and fieldtrips

A variety of workshops and fieldtrips related to the topic of the day or to general environmental aspects will be offered. The complete overview of these can be downloaded here. Delegates have been informed by email about the selection their activities. Each delegate may attend two workshops and two fieldtrips during the conference. There will also be certain activities specifically for the chaperones.
